As for Six, she begins to feel hunger the moment she exits the TV screen, while her dark shadow glances at a picture of the Maw. Mono then finds himself trapped in a time loop and becomes the Thin Man. However, Six betrays Mono and leaves him for dead at the Radio Tower.
The music box and the room Mono finds twisted Six in mirrors their first meeting. He is even able to kill the Thin Man and free a cursed Six from her twisted form by destroying the music box. Six are kidnapped by the Thin Man, separating them. Finally, the main antagonist is the Thin Man. The Doctor, who Mono can either burn or trap inside the crematory machine. They encounter enemies, such as the Teacher, who they escaped from. They travel together through different locations and flee the Wilderness on a floating door to the Pale City. In doing this, they become close friends. Throughout the game, Six initially tries to go by herself, but during their time together, they learn to trust and help each other. They both work together to shoot the Hunter and escape. Once Mono helps Six to get into the attic when he caught up to her, the two learn to work together to survive the Wilderness. After Mono axes his way into the locked room Six was trapped in, he offers his hand to her, but Six ends up pushing him aside before she dashes off. When he goes to rescue Six, Mono follows the sound of the music box she was playing in her prison as a form of comfort. Mono first meets Six when she is caught by the Hunter.
